The City of Denver utilized community input to fully redesign a new playground for the Virginia Village neighborhood.
The project’s mission was to provide accessible playground elements. New features include a cozy dome that provides a quiet space for children with sensory sensitivities, an artificial turf mound, sensory wall, tube slide, and roller slide. Improvements also include an asphalt walkway that connects the playground to the nearby recreation center.
